ATTENTION!

That is why every year since we’ve noticed this stellar phenomenon, we ask you artists to take advantage of this opportunity. Let the synths hum, let the paint splatter, let the basses buzz, let the designs pop, let the snares crack, let the figures pose, let the kicks thump. Jump into your DAW and let the music flow out straight from the heart. Or jump into your program of choice and make some art. Remember, these 2 months of passionate artistic bliss are endorsed by the stars above

This is Chara’s destiny.

Every year, as the new year encroaches, the stars begin to shine brighter, illuminating the landscape and beaming inspiration into the hearts of many artists near and far…

Rules:

Deadlines

All participants must begin working on their project no earlier than December 15, 2025 at 00:00 EST. Some idea sketching is permitted prior to that time, but please stay respectful of the spirit of the event by not making any significant progress.

The deadline to submit to Charafest is February 14th, 2026 at 23:59 EST.

Entry Limit

People are allowed to have significantly contributed to at most two songs in Charafest. Being in a collaboration counts as significantly contributing to a song, but providing minor assistance does not.

Aliases and Names

Aliases are allowed in Charafest; however, while submitting, people must provide their “official” name alongside the alias. An exception to this is if an alias has an established presence outside of Charafest, in which case that name may be used as if it were not an alias.

Groups/Collaborations

Groups/collaborations are allowed in Charafest. Please note that significantly contributing to a collaboration counts toward your entry limit. Only one collaborator should submit their song to the form, with the submission including the names of all contributors.

Copyright

By submitting work to Charafest, you allow us (the Charafest team) to upload said work on social media platforms such as Soundcloud to be viewed/played publicly. Aside from this, anyone submitting work to Charafest maintains all rights to their work. All entries must respect applicable copyright law.

Lyrics

It is perfectly fine to include lyrics in a song submission, but if you do, please provide a text file with the lyrics of the song in your submission.

Expectations

Submissions to Charafest should remain a reasonable length (avoid having submissions be long for the sake of being long). Jokes are okay, but please put effort into your submission (a great example of this is “is this the riddim?” by Cysco from Charafest ‘25).

Participation Benefits

By participating in Charafest, you get a few things. One is an exclusive role in the Chara’s Den discord server which will be called “Chara’s Contributor ‘26”. The other is your song being listened to and having feedback given by BilliumMoto and ZxNX during the Charafest listening party (Date TBD).
